Meditation
You don’t need to be an advanced meditator to join us. HeartSword Sangha welcomes everyone—from complete beginners to experienced meditators, Zen Buddhist monks, and advanced teachers who help us go deeper together.
Sometimes we sit in silent meditation, while other times a new meditator asks for a guided meditation, and we honor that. Our community shares both beginner-friendly practices and advanced methods, creating a space where all levels of practice are welcome.

If we knew in our bones, not just in our heads, that major destabilization is coming sooner or later, probably sooner than we think, and if what we could respond from a space of emotional sobriety, relational maturity, intellectual discernment, and interspecies and intergenerational responsibility, and then asking what would people born today, 30 years from now, look back to us now and say, that was helpful?
— Dr. Vanessa Andreotti
What I thought was a gathering Became a lifelong community.
Here is what happened in the San Francisco Bay Area, and is happening again in Hawaii…
It always begins small. A circle of people, a shared silence, a few honest words. What looks like a single gathering often becomes the spark of something much greater—a living community. Not through effort or strategy, but through the natural gravity of truth.
When we sit together in sincerity, something profound happens. Healing ripples through the room, not because anyone is trying to fix anyone else, but simply because we are present. In this way, the sangha becomes the teacher. We begin helping each other indirectly—just by virtue of being together.
This is how lifelong spiritual communities are born: one gathering, one conversation, one moment of shared recognition at a time.

How you’ll feel at HEARTSWORD SANGHA
Seen. Safe. Challenged. Relieved you don’t have to do it all alone. Inspired. Grounded in wisdom that rises from community itself.

Gigi can share with your community practices to become the embodiment of our highest values. Together, we learn each other’s stories, explore our attachment patterns, and discover how to move beyond likes and dislikes. Most of all, we practice becoming truly intimate with one another, rather than assuming what we think we know is the whole truth. This creates a bond that transcends even our deepest attachment wounds.
In these gatherings, we also explore how our personal healing is connected to the wider metacrisis and polycrisis of our time—the overlapping ecological, cultural, and spiritual challenges that call for collective wisdom and resilience.

Everyone faces challenges when it comes to living their awakening in daily life. From difficult decisions to complex emotions, our spiritual community offers a space to face what is real and transform the triggers that hold you back.
What makes us different is that we are translineage. We honor the wisdom of many traditions—Buddhist, Sufi, Christian, Advaita, and Indigenous—while staying rooted in direct experience. This means you won’t be asked to fit into a single lineage or dogma. Instead, you are invited to receive the medicine of many streams of wisdom, woven into a path that speaks to your soul.
Together, we explore attachment styles, parts work, and deep inner healing, alongside the awakening of the divine feminine and divine masculine. You never need to share unless you feel called—simply observing in sangha is often one of the most powerful ways to learn.
This is the gift of a translineage community: you will feel supported, not pressured; inspired, not corrected; seen, not judged. And most of all, you will discover that awakening isn’t something you do alone—it’s something that deepens, breath by breath, when we walk together.

No. Our sangha and meditation community welcomes all levels, from complete beginners to advanced meditators and Zen, Dzogchen, and Advaita Vedanta practitioners. Whether it’s your first meditation or your thousandth, you are welcome here.

You never have to share unless you want to. Simply observing our gatherings can be a powerful way to learn.
In our spiritual gatherings and sangha, you are free to just listen and observe. Many discover that deep healing and insight happen simply by being present in community—even without speaking.
-
We are a translineage spiritual community, which means we honor wisdom from many traditions, Buddhist, Muslim/Sufi, Advaita, Dzogchen, Tantra, Christian mysticism, and Indigenous wisdom, without being bound to one. You are invited to receive and share with us the medicine of many streams of truth in a way that supports your own awakening.
-
Our gatherings include silent meditation, walking meditations, guided meditation, parts work, circling, relational practices, and teachings on attachment styles, divine feminine and divine masculine, and spiritual awakening in daily life.

Both. HeartSword Sangha hosts online spiritual gatherings for a global community, as well as in-person events for those able to join us in Hawaii and beyond.

Our work isn’t just personal—it connects to the wider metacrisis and polycrisis we face as a planet. By healing our relationships, attachments, and wounds, we cultivate the wisdom and resilience needed to meet ecological, cultural, and spiritual challenges together.
